Hi !
Through my studies and experiences, I discovered and explored my passion for blending design and artistic vision in games with a storyteller approach. Creating and finding ways to represent worlds rich in story is what drives me the most in my journey. I see design as a way to tell stories, whether through the game's levels, mechanics, initial sketches, etc.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Game Design from UQAT. During my studies, I had the opportunity to learn and practice all aspects of the game design process (HLC, Gameplay, Level Design, Narrative Design, UI/UX) as well as organizational tools and methods such as Notion and Jira, before finding my specialization.
My strengths: Level Design, Narrative Design and a touch of 2D art !
THINGS I LIKE ?
I’m deeply passionate about worldbuilding, immersion in various fantasy universes through media, and tabletop role-playing games. This is what drove me along with friends sharing a common passion to create and organise Grandeur Nature Apocryphe, a live-action role-playing event (or LARP) held every summer since 2022.
I’m also a lifelong child at heart when it comes to LEGO. Passion or obsession? I’m not sure, but one thing is certain: since I was very young, I’ve been collecting and building with LEGO bricks. I create artistic pieces from my collection, and it’s safe to say that this love for LEGO has influenced my career choices! Someday, I’d love to participate in contests and exhibitions to challenge myself and take my creations to the next level!
Of course, video games also play a significant role in my life The Witcher 3, Minecraft, Little Nightmares and Souls Games are among my favorites.
other learning experiences
I completed my college studies in Multimedia Integration (or Techniques d'intégration multimédia) at Collège de Maisonneuve. This program provided me with a solid foundation in various media and technological fields, such as web development, audio and video editing, video game programming, graphic design, and 3D modeling. This broad skill set facilitated my transition to university at UQAT and enhanced my understanding of other areas of game production, such as programming and art.
By specializing in graphic design at the end of my college studies, I had the opportunity to assist Audrée Schneider, an art director who guided me through several exciting projects. My journey has taught me to always pay close attention to how I present content, whether it’s a game pitch, a Game Design Document, UI design, etc.
The end !
